Our community
Our work at the Railway Inn is simply one small piece of the wider community story here in the village. Many groups and individuals contribute in their own ways, and we’re grateful to play our part in bringing this building back to life.
Our journey so far
This was the Railway Inn on the day we took it into community ownership — worn down, but full of memories and potential. Our journey since has been about honouring its past while creating a welcoming future for everyone. Since then, our volunteers have made small but impressive improvements, each one bringing the building a little closer to welcoming the community again. You can follow our progress in the gallery.
More than just a pub
The Railway Inn is on its way to becoming a warm, welcoming place for the village once more. As work continues, we’re looking ahead to a future where people can gather here for friendship, events and community life.
